Hey Aion Guy, Ive been watching your videos and have been doing alot of research into Aion. Let me just say, I like what I see! I'm a former WoW junkie who just got tired of the game about 3 months ago (80 Druid, 80 Death Knight, 80 Rogue, Stormreaver server). Anyways, Aion looks like a fantastic game experience, especially with the graphics, Im really impressed with that. What im wondering is having not played another mmorpg except WoW (idk if you've played it or not) how you would compare Aion to WoW as far as leveling, quests, pvp, pve. The whole nine yards. I really want a challenge in pve AND pvp. Thanks for the help

Hi there. Glad you made it to the forums.
The most I played World of Warcraft was on a private server where I died once. I couldn't find my body and after that I logged out and deleted the game. That's as far as my World of Warcraft experience goes.
I'm not blind, deaf and stupid so I kind of know what's going on in World of Warcraft. In Aion, getting to the max level, which is 50 right now, is more of an achievement that it is in World of Warcraft. So leveling is more of a "grind".
There are loads of quests on the version I played (1.0) and there are even more quests in patch 1.5, which will be the patch on the upcoming open beta and the live servers. It's said that you get better rewards for quests in patch 1.5 so that's a good thing I guess.
As you could have guessed, Aion is more PvP orientated. Still there are more than plenty of opportunities to do raids and what not.
If you are bored of playing World of Warcraft, Aion will be a very good alternative for you.

You still have till September 22nd to decide what to do. That's when the game will launch officially.
If you were to play Aion, what faction would you pick. Elyos or Asmodians?

Yeah, thing is, i probably wont jump into the game until next year due to some school/work/time issues. But i am doing a lot of research into the classes. at first i thought that the warrior was pretty cool, but then i really got tired of being a tank in WoW, so i thought i might try something different. I really like the abilities of the Chanter. I like the use of a staff in combat combined with some magic. I know they aren't the best in dps but they still seam useful in a group and great for soloing. as for faction.. i was alliance on wow.. so i want to try the dark side..hehe, so im going to go Asmodian. If you could Id like to see a video where you talk about the different classes based on your opinion. i think that would be pretty cool

It's never too late to start Andrew. When you join sometime next year, the economy will have settled a bit which is a nice thing for you
The chanters are really nice to have in a group. Actually, you NEED at least 1 chanter in your group at all times, no matter what you're doing. Be it PvP, PvE or raids, you need to have 1.
As for a video with my opinion about the classes... I might do one whenever open beta launches. And with a guild that has every class available in it, I'm sure my opinion will be shared by them as well.

That sounds great about the guild. I might apply if a spot is available once i get settled in. Hey I've been listening to the abyss podcast, thanks for the link, its great stuff. I thought the part about the titles giving you a buff was pretty neat, as well as the crafting giving you xp as you craft.
Looking forward to playing, keep it up!
