Like most of you guys, I'm pretty new to Aion. I've played a couple closed betas now and I'm totally hooked to the game.

During the betas, I pretty much only leveled, did my quests and wondered around a bit so I know the places I'm going to. And while doing all of this, I actually never bothered to really craft and upgrade my armor. Even though I never bothered with the armor, I didn't have any problems getting to 25 (which was the max for the 4th closed beta).

So I wonder. Is this trend going to continue till the 30's and 40's. Or am I going to hit a wall, so to say, where I can't continue with just regular, non upgraded armor?

All of this is focussed on PvE. I'm prett sure it would be a hell of a lot different for PvP.

Let me give an answer to myself.

After playing 4 betas so far, I found out that the first time you really should bother with crafting armor is at level 23. This is when you get your first crafted set which is worth crafting.

You probably know that when you are crafting the armor, there is a chance that you will get blue named items. And these are the ones you should be aiming for, especially if you are not a power leveler. Because this set of armor will probably last you till level 30 ish.

You must upgrade your armor and everything you can until you reach the last level.
From the first level if you can upgrade something, upgrade it. Most of you are experienced from the World of Warcraft and from Lineage. If you play official Aion then if you follow the quests and do what it tells you it will be easy and funny to build your character, but if you play in pvp server (like me) you must boost your character and build a party as soon as possible. If you want to survive and be one of the top player! Now the point that you can reach until level 50 is the most importand to me and the most good. In official mmorpgs, the big levels is problem bicause its realy hard to xp your player until level 80. Level 50 is a good crossline between your game experience and your game pleasure. Enjoy every momment in any server you prefer to play. Private or Official is a big question that wants more time, and at least 2 years gameplay from the first day that the game will be at shops...(i don't like to pay for play, because i think that the game is something special and is for everyone. i will continue in pvp servers until the day that i will be rich )
