Review: I recently purchased the Razer Carcharias Headset because I needed a new headset for Aion. From shipping to delivery I was very pleased with the ordering. It shipped to my doorstep in about 6 days, and I was able to track it via the shipping website to each city that it was scanned at for delivery and departure, I was very happy with this because I was worried I might have typoed when putting in the order info. When I got it the box it came in was amazing by itself, and the headset looked even better. Finally I got it hooked up and turned on some music. Right away, I noticed the thumping base and clear sound quality. I then asked my friend to get in ventrilo with me, when I noticed the first flaw. When I was talking, if he talked while I had to mic open, he could hear himself, not because of it being too loud and leaving the headphones but as if it was just being sad back to him. I immediately googled the problem, found a fix and fixed it within 10 minutes. I just had to open up my audio properties and change a setting. (I did some more research on the feedback, and it turns out it's only a few choice sound cards that do it, but they all have fixes. After that was fixed I finally asked him to tell me how the quality of my voice was, he told me "It's like you're sitting next to me talking." I now use it every day for all audio on my desktop, because of the comfort, the padded earpieces and padded headband make it very nice on the head unlike my old headset that would hurt my ears because they were smushed up against my head. If you have about $100 USD to drop on a headset and you want a really good one, I suggest this or any other razer headset, I have heard from fellow gamers that they are all good.
Thanks for reading the review, I hope you get something out of it.

Personally, I never tried any of the Razer products. But I've heard so many positive stories about their products and looks like the Razer Carcharias Gaming Headset isn't an exception.
I recently bought the Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headsset. I've been using it for over 2 months now and I've got 0 complaints about it. And it's quite a bit cheaper than the Razer Carcharias, only $31,99 on Amazon.com
However, if I had the budget for it, Razer headsets would be something I would be interested in.

That's actually my old one!
I went through 3 of them cause it doesn't cancel out very loud sudden noises, and we had a little kid in the WoW guild that would always come in vent and yell in the mic and my sound would start cracking. Haha.

Thanks for letting me know about the little kid on vent. I'll make sure I'll kick them out of vent before they can shout
Does the Rapter cancel out sudden loud noices? Useful now that I think about it.

From what I read in another review on the products page it does. So I can't really put up an argument that it doesn't or does, but I have had a loud noise get through but no cracking so if it does get through it might not be bad.
But seriously, the kid had to have been eating his mic yelling as loud as he could, I had to mute him for raids, cause he would get hit by fire and yell for healing. Bad experiences.

Haha, I was doing that weeks ago as well. I had it set up next to my computer and I'd have to spin around in my chair to talk, it was a pain in the ass.
But if you use your laptop for gaming before purchasing the headset, make sure you check if it has the in and out put 40mm jacks for the headset plugs, it isn't a usb mic, sadly. Most people know them as the green and pink plugs.

Lol I'm gaming on my laptop (gaming laptop ftw) so I don't have to spin around in my room
I have like 2 plug ins for headsets so I guess that's ok.
