I am really having a rough time getting this into my desktop- I preordered and have tried different ways all to no avail.
First I tried loading from Aion and after like 2 days I was getting no where.
Twice I downloaded 9 gig copies from fileplanet and when I tried to unzip they showed as *invalid or corrupt*
Tech support then said maybe I should go the torrent route which I did. It took 24 hours to load. It is now finished and I have it in my machine. I am an idiot I think. I have the torrent directory showing it.
Now what do I do with it?

Now let's see. You downloaded the 9 gig torrent and now you don't know what to do with it?

I've not downloaded the 9 gig torrent, so I don't know what's in it because it's a .rar file. Could you tell me which files are in the .rar file? I might be able to help you out once I know it.

As for your questions, will be there a difference between the beta and retail release. My guess would be yes, there will be. But those differences won't be that big, at least not as big as the previous patches. If anything, it probably is under 100mb you'll have to download.

I had a friend help me with those files I got and again there was a problem with them. These files obtained from sources other than NC seemed to have something corrupt right now so I am back to the regular ncsoft launcher.
I figure maybe who knows 3-5 days to load?
You know it's pretty nasty of them to take your money up front like that without a stern warning up front that you may have no hopes of getting in by Sept 6th.
Think of all the money they are earning daily interest on from mega thousands of folks. Doesn't give you a warm and fuzzy feeling about this company frankly.

I was having extremely slow DL times for my NCSoft Downloader, so I sent in an email. I got a reply that said:

Hi Cody,

The download speed you are seeing is what everyone gets at this time. We lowered the speed because of the high demand form everyone hitting the download servers.

What happens if you use the torrent download form our web site here;

Be sure to download the "torrent patch" as well form that page.

So I went to fileplanet and downloaded the full client via there, but I left my NCSoft Downloader going over night and I finished the fileplanet by the time I woke up and the NCSoft downloaded 1%...

So if you're still having issues I suggest fileplanet.

Thanks everyone I went back to the old fashioned way from NSSoft and so far it seems to be coming in
Hopefully I am gonna get it all without too many big problems-
