The Basics Of Learning The Alchemy Profession

Video #22 and in this video I show you how you can start off learning the alchemy profession. There is nothing fancy about this video really. It starts off with he showing how to change channels because I thought that's important for people to know as the video explains. This can save you a lot of headache in Aion. Changing Channels Changing channels is really easy. All you have to do is press the "Menu" icon on the bottom of your screen. From that menu you go to "Support" and pick the "Change Channels" option. After this a menu will pop up in the top right of your screen and you will be able to pick a channel you want to go to. There are 10 channels so you're bound to find a channel that's not packed with people. Keep in mind that there is a 3 minute period in which you can't change channels. Learning Alchemy To learn alchemy, you will have to go to Pandaemonium. When you're in Pandaemonium, you have to go to the Temple or Artisans and jump in the second chamber to your left. This is the alchemy chamber. Once you're in the chamber, you'll have to talk with the NPC called Honir. When you pick the first option [Learn Alchemy] and cough up something like 1300 Kinah [Aion’s version of Gold] you will have learned alchemy. This level of alchemy will give you the possibility to advance your alchemy level to 99, once you reach level 99 for your alchemy you'll have to go to Honir again and learn the second level or alchemy.

To gain levels for your alchemy profession, you will have to do work orders, which is the easiest and fastest way to level up your alchemy. The closer the level of the work order is to the level of your alchemy, the faster your alchemy will level. Picking the lowest level work order available to you will guarantee you will get most of the possible rewards. You have to keep in mind that certain rewards are only available at certain level work orders..

You pick a work order from the NPC named Honir, which you can find in the alchemy chamber. After you’ve picked up a work order you select 1 of the 6 crafting tables and select the work order you want to do. The first work order asks you do make 3 Luciferin of Lamps. Once you've created 3 of the Lamps, you go back to Honir, hand in the work order, receive your reward and pick your new work order if you want to continue leveling your alchemy.

Need Ingredients?

Starting from level 10 work orders, you will have to buy some of the ingredients from the NPC called "Grad" which you can find in the same chamber. To buy ingredients, you can right click on the item a certain amount of times or you can press shift+right click which lets you enter a number. If the ingredient you’re looking for isn’t on the first page, don’t forget to look on the second page. After purchasing the ingredients, you head back to the crafting table and do the usual crafting again.

This is something you must know when you’re leveling up your alchemy profession. When you press "Craft", it will just do 1 craft for you. You can adjust this number with the little arrows which point to the left and right [increase and decrease number]. Let's say you have to craft 10's or even 100's of an item, the best thing for you to do is hit the "Craft All" button. As you expect, this will craft everything that's available.

What Are These Rewards

When you hand in a work order you will always get a reward. For alchemy, this can be Distilled Water or Lesser Catalyst and a few other items. The rewards you get from handing in work orders can be used for higher level work orders or crafting weapons or mana stones. So don’t just sell them immediately and store them in your warehouse.

Want To Fly Longer? Learn This Trick

Did you know... that you can fly longer than your actual flight time? Flying in Aion, who hasn't heard of that yet? Pretty much everyone knows you can fly in Aion and that's 1 aspect of the game which seperates it from the other MMORPGs. In Aion, you have flying, gliding and gliding while flying. Sounds complicated? Let me explain.

1. Flying

One of the most important reasons why Aion is so famous, is because of the flight system. To start flying, you'll have to reach level 10 first and you should have finished the Ascension quest. Once you've done that, the only thing you will have to is press the "Toggle Flight/Landing" button.

Once you are flying, you can do whatever you want. Fly left, right, up (R key by default) or down (F key by default). It's all up to you. While you are in this flight mode, every second you spend in the air will reduce your total flight time by 1 second. Say your total flight time was 60 seconds. This would mean you can stay in the air for 60 seconds.

2. Gliding

The second type of flight in Aion is gliding. To get in a "glide" state, all you have to do is press spacebar while you jump. While you are gliding, do not use your movement keys such as W A S D. Doing this will get you out of the glide mode as soon as you touch the ground. Unlike flying, gliding can be done at any level and doesn't need a quest to unlock it.

Gliding is especially usefull if you are walking/running on a downwards slope. If this is used wisely, you can catch up with people that are ahead of you.

While you are gliding, every second you are in the "glide" state, 2 seconds will be recuded from your total flight time. Say your total flight time was 60 seconds. This would mean you can glide for 30 seconds before your flight time runs out.

3. Gliding + Flying

If you mix gliding with flying, you get the most efficient form of trasportation and the most difficult one at the same time. To be able to glide and fly at the same time, you must at least finish the Ascension quest mentioned in point 1.

To get the glide/flight combination going you need to start of with flying. The higher you fly, the longer you will be able to glide, so get as high as you can. When you think you're high enough, press the spacebar once. Doing this will result in you being in the "glide" mode.

While you are in this mode, you can't ascend and descend using the R and F keys. All you can do is use your mouse to steer yourself in the right direction. The benefit of being in this mode is that your flight time reduces twice as slow as it normally would. Let's say your flight time was 30 seconds when you pressed the spacebar to get in the glide/flight mode, this would mean you can stay in the air for 60 seconds before you run out of flight time.

When you are in the glide/flight state, you can easily switch back to the flight mode by pressing spacebar again. You can do this as often as you want, as long as you have some flight time left.

Be warned. Pressing the "Toggle Flight/Landing" button while in glide/flight mode will result in you crashing down!

Level 30 Spiritmaster With Best Gear Ever!

KhudaMedic on YouTube asked me whether I could show him my gear. And the answer to that is, absolutely. And there is some additional information. Such as our guild contribution points. Which was 249.471 and that resulted in us being 7th on that server on the Asmodian side. You also notice that I've only got 16 Abyss Points. The reason for this is simple. Right before I recorded this video, I finished farming for Abyss Points to get my 2nd ring. The highest rank I've gotten during closed beta 6, was 5th which is decent I think.

As for the gear. In the video you can watch below, I'm wearing these items.
