Save Time By Looting Automatically

Did you know... that you can save time by looting corpses automatically?From day 1 of MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) you made money by looting corpses and selling the items you've gotten from the corpse. The way this is done is pretty much the same for every single MMORPG out there, but most of the MMORPGs have a different way of looting the corpse.The same goes for Aion. In Aion there are 4 different ways of looting a corpse. Let's see what these are.1. You can loot a corpse by right clicking the corpse. After this a box will pop up with the items you can loot. If you want to loot the items, you can right click on the items 1 by 1. Alternatively you can press the [Attack/Chat] icon while having the corpse selected to run over to the corpse and open up the loot window. [This is useful for when you run low on inventory space and you want to actually pick the items you want] 2. The second way of looting a corpse would be to right click the corpse. Like you just read, this will pop up a window with the available items you can pick. This time you don't right click the items 1 by 1, but you click on the "Take All" button. As you expect, clicking on the "Take All' button will loot every available item [as long as you have space in your inventory]. This is particularly useful for when you have enough space in your inventory and you want to sell up everything you can to make Kinah [Aion's version of gold]

3. The previous 2 ways of looting a corpse involved manual labor. The third way of looting a corpse is fully automatic. The first way of auto looting a corpse is to keep the SHIFT button pressed down and then to right click the corpse [World of Warcraft players will remember this]. When you do this, your character will walk towards the corpse and loot everything he/she can automatically as long as you have space in your inventory.

4. This is my personal favorite. The 4th way to loot a corpse, which is also automatic, is to press the "Pick Up Item" icon This is an icon which is automatically placed on your hotbar as soon as you create your character and log in. You can also get access to this icon by pressing "K" and look under the "Actions" tab.

To make use of this icon, you will have to place this on your hotbar. Once you've placed it on your hotbar, all you have to do is press the shortcut while having the corpse selected. Doing this will also automatically loot the corpse.

Now you probably wonder "Will this really save me time?" It will definitely save you time. And the time you save up will add up quicker if you're a person who loves to grind. Just think about it. Every monster you kill and loot automatically will save you a second or 2. When you kill 100's and 1000's of monsters per day and you save 1 or 2 seconds per monster by looting automatically, by the end of the days you will have saved a lot of time which you can then spend on something more productive. So loot automatically and be a better player!

Pressing , Will Increase Your HP/MP Recovery Speed

Did you know... that pressing the "," (comma) button will bring you in a rest state in which your HP/MP will recover faster than usual?This might not seem like a big deal, but used wisely, this can save you a lot of potion in the long run. Think about it. How often did you wait for someone to arrive on a location while you were waiting and your HP/MP wasn't recovering as fast as it could with this little trick?Knowing that the "," will recover your HP/MP faster is also a god's blessing for people who are new to Aion. When you're new to Aion and you are fighting your way through monsters, often do you end up without MP or you're low on HP. Instead of waiting for it to recover, you can press the "," button and your HP/MP will recover a lot faster.

Different Channels In Beginner Zones

Did you know... that there are 10 different channels in the beginner zones?Aion is played by millions of players around the world which means it can get crowded on maps at times. To solve this problem, NCsoft introduced Channels to Aion. A channel is a different instance of the same map.Let's say channel 1 (default channel) in the beginner zone has 100 players on it and there were no monsters to kill. To solve this problem you could switch to any other the other 9 channels where there are monsters. You'd still be on the same map, but this time without the other 100 people that are on channel 1.With beginner zones I mean Altgard and Ishalgen (for Asmodians) and Verteron and Poeta (for Elyos) Can't Find Your Friend? I've come across this question a few times now and it's always been something like "me and my friend are on the same server and same map, but we can't see each other" The answer to this is obvious. You and your friend aren't on the same channel. To find out on which channel you are, you'll have to press Menu [F10] --> Support --> Change Channel. Once you done this you'll see in which channel you are.Alternatively, if you are grouped with your friend, you can hover over his name in the party window. Doing this will show the channel your friend is in. Or you could open up the map [M] and hover over your friend's name. Want To Fly Longer? Learn This Trick

Did you know... that you can fly longer than your actual flight time? Flying in Aion, who hasn't heard of that yet? Pretty much everyone knows you can fly in Aion and that's 1 aspect of the game which seperates it from the other MMORPGs. In Aion, you have flying, gliding and gliding while flying. Sounds complicated? Let me explain.

1. Flying

One of the most important reasons why Aion is so famous, is because of the flight system. To start flying, you'll have to reach level 10 first and you should have finished the Ascension quest. Once you've done that, the only thing you will have to is press the "Toggle Flight/Landing" button.

Once you are flying, you can do whatever you want. Fly left, right, up (R key by default) or down (F key by default). It's all up to you. While you are in this flight mode, every second you spend in the air will reduce your total flight time by 1 second. Say your total flight time was 60 seconds. This would mean you can stay in the air for 60 seconds.

2. Gliding

The second type of flight in Aion is gliding. To get in a "glide" state, all you have to do is press spacebar while you jump. While you are gliding, do not use your movement keys such as W A S D. Doing this will get you out of the glide mode as soon as you touch the ground. Unlike flying, gliding can be done at any level and doesn't need a quest to unlock it.

Gliding is especially usefull if you are walking/running on a downwards slope. If this is used wisely, you can catch up with people that are ahead of you.

While you are gliding, every second you are in the "glide" state, 2 seconds will be recuded from your total flight time. Say your total flight time was 60 seconds. This would mean you can glide for 30 seconds before your flight time runs out.

3. Gliding + Flying

If you mix gliding with flying, you get the most efficient form of trasportation and the most difficult one at the same time. To be able to glide and fly at the same time, you must at least finish the Ascension quest mentioned in point 1.

To get the glide/flight combination going you need to start of with flying. The higher you fly, the longer you will be able to glide, so get as high as you can. When you think you're high enough, press the spacebar once. Doing this will result in you being in the "glide" mode.

While you are in this mode, you can't ascend and descend using the R and F keys. All you can do is use your mouse to steer yourself in the right direction. The benefit of being in this mode is that your flight time reduces twice as slow as it normally would. Let's say your flight time was 30 seconds when you pressed the spacebar to get in the glide/flight mode, this would mean you can stay in the air for 60 seconds before you run out of flight time.

When you are in the glide/flight state, you can easily switch back to the flight mode by pressing spacebar again. You can do this as often as you want, as long as you have some flight time left.

Be warned. Pressing the "Toggle Flight/Landing" button while in glide/flight mode will result in you crashing down!

You Can Regain Some Of The Lost Experience

Did you know... that you can regain some of the experience you lost when you died? After level 6, when you die to monsters, you will lose experience. To regain a part of the experience you lost, all you have to do is talk with the Soulhealer near the Obelisk you bound yourself to. it will require kinah to get experience back. The more experience you lose, the more it will cost you to "buy" it back. This doesn't apply to PvP. If PvP is the cause of your death, you will only get a temporarily debuff. Remember: Some experience will be lost when you die to monsters.

Guild Rank 3 Gives You A Custom Logo

Did you know... that a rank 3 guild gives you the option to pick a custom logo? It will require 1 million kinah and 20.000 AP (Abyss Points) to get a custom logo. Another change at rank 3 is the maximum number of members you can have in your guild. This will become 90.

Gathering Gives Experience

Did you know... that gathering materials gives you experience? Starting from level 1, you can gather 'gatherables'. Gatherables such as Angelica, Clam, Carp, Apple and so on. Every gatherable requires a certain amount of point in your gathering skill. The higher the requirement is for the gatherable, the more experience you will get. Even though it's not a huge amount you get for gatherings, after a while it adds up and you level your gathering skill at the same time.

Pressing Spacebar While Flight Reduces Time Consumption

Did you know... that while you are flying (not gliding) you can press spacebar to reduce the flight time consumption? In Aion there is a difference between Flying and Gliding. Flying can only be done in certain areas whereas you can glide everywhere you want. While you fly, press spacebar to get in a glide state. This state will disable the F and R keys, but it will reduce the time consumption. Update: I took the time to create a video in which I show you how this is done.
