Notable among these is an array of in-game items you can give to your characters. To assign them to your characters, please follow these instructions. NOTE: You will need to follow these steps for each new character you create in order for it to receive the items. You will not be able to do this right now, but the feature will be enabled shortly. 1. Log into NCsoft Account Management. 2. Click the Game Accounts link. 3. Choose your Aion game account listed on the Game Accounts page. 4. Click the Apply In-Game Items link in the Actions section. 5. I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. During those years, I've used my fair share of headsets. Even though I've got a 5.1 surround sound system, I barely make use of it. It's not because it's a bad system, but it's because I live in a small house. When I'm playing video games, I always want to turn up the volume so I get the most of out the game.Because I couldn't use the surround sound system and I wanted to play my games with the volume turned up, I quickly started to use headsets. Me being a poor student, I bought the cheapest headset I could find. Back then it was something like a $5 headset. This was probably the worst headset I ever used. This headset was so bad, I got rid of it a couple days later. Reasons To Get Rid Of Your Headset The headphones were terrible. They barely had any foam/protection on them, so they would really hurt your ears when you had the headset on. Not only were the headphones terrible, this headset could fall apart even if you looked at it with bad intentions. After falling from my desk 2 times, the headset stopped working. If you're planning to get yourself a headset, please make sure the headphones have enough foam/protection on them so they cover your ears nicely. Communication Is Important When I'm looking for headsets I want to buy, there are only a few characteristics I'm looking for. And a quality microphone is one of those. When you're gaming and you're a part of a group/guild which makes use of some sort group communication software [Ventrillo or TeamSpeak most probably], you want to make sure you've got a headset with a microphone which produces sound of high quality. There is nothing more annoying then having a person on Ventrillo or TeamSpeak who has a bad microphone. Which brings me to the headset I'm using right now. The Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headset The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB™ headset. That's the headset I'm using and picking this headset has been 1 of the best choices I've made in a while. It starts with the headphones, which are small, but big enough to cover yours ears. So not only do you get perfect sound from the headphones which are comfortable to the ears, but it also prevents you hearing unwanted sounds from the "outside world"Then we have the excellent microphone, which you can also use on MSN, Skype, Google Talk or any other program which requires a microphone. The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB™ is a headset which you can easily use on Ventrillo or TeamSpeak. The sound it produces is crystal clear and in the few months I've been using it, I haven't had 1 person complain about the sound quality.The last characteristic I like about the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB™ and I want all my future headsets to have, is an USB connection. After I bought the headset and came home. I plugged in the headset and within a minute I could use the headset. No configuring, no adjusting sounds for every separate program. Plug it in, let the software install itself and start using it. So all in all, I'm very pleased with the headset and for $49,99 I'd say it's well worth it.This is my experience with the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB™ . Did you know... that you can save time by looting corpses automatically?From day 1 of MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) you made money by looting corpses and selling the items you've gotten from the corpse. The way this is done is pretty much the same for every single MMORPG out there, but most of the MMORPGs have a different way of looting the corpse.The same goes for Aion. In Aion there are 4 different ways of looting a corpse. Let's see what these are.1. You can loot a corpse by right clicking the corpse. After this a box will pop up with the items you can loot. If you want to loot the items, you can right click on the items 1 by 1. Alternatively you can press the [Attack/Chat] icon  while having the corpse selected to run over to the corpse and open up the loot window. [This is useful for when you run low on inventory space and you want to actually pick the items you want] 2. The second way of looting a corpse would be to right click the corpse. Like you just read, this will pop up a window with the available items you can pick. This time you don't right click the items 1 by 1, but you click on the "Take All" button. As you expect, clicking on the "Take All' button will loot every available item [as long as you have space in your inventory]. Video #22 and in this video I show you how you can start off learning the alchemy profession. There is nothing fancy about this video really. It starts off with he showing how to change channels because I thought that's important for people to know as the video explains. This can save you a lot of headache in Aion. Changing Channels Changing channels is really easy. All you have to do is press the "Menu" icon on the bottom of your screen. From that menu you go to "Support" and pick the "Change Channels" option. After this a menu will pop up in the top right of your screen and you will be able to pick a channel you want to go to. There are 10 channels so you're bound to find a channel that's not packed with people. Keep in mind that there is a 3 minute period in which you can't change channels. Learning Alchemy To learn alchemy, you will have to go to Pandaemonium. When you're in Pandaemonium, you have to go to the Temple or Artisans and jump in the second chamber to your left. This is the alchemy chamber. Once you're in the chamber, you'll have to talk with the NPC called Honir. When you pick the first option [Learn Alchemy] and cough up something like 1300 Kinah [Aion’s version of Gold] you will have learned alchemy. This level of alchemy will give you the possibility to advance your alchemy level to 99, once you reach level 99 for your alchemy you'll have to go to Honir again and learn the second level or alchemy. <br/> <br />To gain levels for your alchemy profession, you will have to do work orders, which is the easiest and fastest way to level up your alchemy. The closer the level of the work order is to the level of your alchemy, the faster your alchemy will level. Picking the lowest level work order available to you will guarantee you will get most of the possible rewards. You have to keep in mind that certain rewards are only available at certain level work orders..<br /><br />You pick a work order from the NPC named Honir, which you can find in the alchemy chamber. After you’ve picked up a work order you select 1 of the 6 crafting tables and select the work order you want to do. The first work order asks you do make 3 Luciferin of Lamps. So I've decided to join the Aion Online Betaboards to see what's going on with the connection problems as of late. Usually I'm browsing through the AionSource forums to see what's going on, but this was a problem which needed information from the source. So the Aion Online Betaboards it was.First thing I noticed when "trying" to access the forums? Super slow loading times caused by about 10.000 to 15.000 people browsing the forums (which is a very impressive number by the way). After the initial loading I was slowly gaining access to the forums. I made my way to the general discussions and what did I spy with my little eye? This little thread and how appropriate that it's started by a user named "Bundywow". If you don't have access to the betaboards, this is what he said: Ok I understand marketing the game on twitter but tech support on twitter is stupid there's is like 4 different locations where people need to check to get info on tech support where as you should just have 1 central hub. I don't know if you get kick backs or a cross promotion type deal for generating hits on twitter but its stupid.. When people are paying for a service you shouldn't need to track it on a 3rd party service to get support and updated information. First of all, this guy doesn't know the difference between Tech Support and keeping a community informed and updated. The NCsoft employees who use Twitter, have been using it for a while now and I've been following them for a while and the information they give you on Twitter is just amazing. Yes you need a Twitter account, yes you need to see what's going on on Twitter, but the information you get makes up for all of that. <br/> <br />Twitter being the water cooler, being updated about <a title="aion_liv having a coffee accident" href="http://twitter.com/aion_liv/statuses/3758792334">aion_liv having a coffee accident</a> or <a title="aion_ayase going out to get some coffee" href="http://twitter.com/aion_ayase/statuses/3823985857">aion_ayase going out to get some coffee</a> is something that you can expect. But don't be fooled by these tweets because there are tweets being send which contain valuable information. This tweet for example, which tells you that <a title="Our North American #Aion servers are now back online. Maintenance is over." href="http://twitter.com/aion_ayase/statuses/3825437015">the maintenance is over</a> and you can log back in again. Don't you think it's worth knowing this information? And unlike the slow loading forums where you can wait for minutes before you even find the announcement, the tweet is send to you directly if you're using a Twitter desktop client such as <a title="Seesmic Homepage" href="http://seesmic.com/">Seesmic</a> (which I use) or <a title="Tweetdeck Homepage" href="http://tweetdeck.com/">Tweetdeck</a>.<br /><br />Back to the betaboards thread. The "Bundywow" user keeps ranting about how NCsoft should use a proper forum and what not and he's being backed up by quite some people who don't realize the power of Twitter. But there are people that do understand the power of Twitter and why NCsoft employees use it. Just take a look at <a title="Re: Stop with Twitter" href="http://betaboards.aiononline.com/showpost.php?p=207483&amp;postcount=12">this reply</a> from a user named "Kardinal". <div class="note">Even if they could have accessed the forums and posted relevant info here, it wouldn't have gotten out to anyone yesterday because the forums were really inaccessible. How much easier is it to keep track of someone's tweets than it is to keep an eye out for a possible announcement on a forum? I'll tell you, it's A LOT easier. Are you getting this error "Game is not available in your country"?If you do, don't panic. The reason for this is simple. GameGaurd is updating their servers. This is what aion_liv had to say about it on Twitter. (Follow her and me if you're not already!)GameGuard servers are being updated. U may see diff GG errors or "Game is not available in your country" while the servers are down. Video #21. This will be a short post about some of the PvP we did in the Pitchfork Ville (Eltnen). This is a great place for PvP. When we were getting closer to our usual spot, we found out there was a crapload of other Asmodians around, ganking poor Elyos. So we joined them to fight at our usual spot.The result? A massive fight for a couple minutes, and the usual running back when there are just TOO many Elyos to fight. Though, I still think we should have stood there and died like brave (read foolish) warriors!The second bit of the video is about the Fire Temple quest boss called Sacred Chalice Protector Denlavis. If you've seen the video about the other boss in the Fire Temple, you will notice quickly that Sacred Chalice Protector Denlavis actually hits like a wet fish. Even the normal monsters around it hit harder than he does. <br/> <br />Sacred Chalice Protector Denlavis is a part of the Fire Temple quest and after you beat him down, you have to loot the body.<br /><br />That's about it for this video, it's just a filler one till the game releases on September 22nd. You probably think why I even bothered making this poll, but believe it or not, there was a reason for it.Often do I read people don't want to watch HD qualit y videos because they just don't have a fast enough internet connection for it. To make sure I was dealing with an audience with a high speed internet connection, thus people able to watch videos in HD quality, I put up this poll. And you guys and girls made it pretty obvious that you're internet speed is fast enough to watch the videos in HD quality.
