Dark Poeta - A Rank Boss - Calandi Flamelord

To get the A rank boss in Dark Poeta you need to have at least 17.000 points and 1hour 30 minutes left on the clock. This shouldn't be a problem for most of the groups. The boss, Calindi Flamelord, however can be.

You should be entering this fight with as much fire resistance as possible. Think about a fire resistance scroll, food, equipment and of course Chanter buffs. Once you get your fire resistance to a certain point, it will get easier.

Calindi Flamelord does a s kill called "Powerful Knockdown" which is actually powerful. This skill has a 15 meter ranger and hits everything within this ranger. If you're on 16 meter or further, you won't get hit by this skill. It will also do a skill called "Explosive Wrath" which is a AoE fear and has a 5 meter ranger. If you get hit by this,  the chance if you walking in the lava and burn yourself to dead is pretty high. This skill can be easily avoided.

Dark Poeta - Brigade General Anuhart

Almost time for the last big boss, but before that, we have to kill Brigade General Anuhart.

Brigade General Anuhart is kind of easy to kill. It doesn't have major skills you should be aware of but you can't fall asleep either.

When you first start to attack Brigade General Anuhart it will do a wide area stun on the platform he's standing on, so wait and let your tank go in first, after that you can charge in. Also, do not move him off his platform, this will result in  him resetting.

Dark Poeta - The 3 Generators

The trick with these 3 bosses is to kill 1 after the other without picking up the items the boss dropped. Because each of the bosses will spawn 4 purple balls and they will only disappear after all 3 of the bosses are dead.

Having said that, another point that needs attention is the position of the person that is being attacked by the boss. Because the boss attacks with AoE skills, it's recommended that the person pulling agro is standing away from the rest of the group. This way the healing will be a lot easier and the chance of wiping a lot smaller. At about 75% and 25% of the boss' HP, it will spawn the purple balls and when it does that, the melee characters in the group should move away from the boss, so that they don't die. There are 6 different types of balls and most of them do something different:

  • Shockwave Generator Core: Direct damage
  • Wave Generator Core: Direct damage
  • Light Generator Core: Direct damage
  • Summons Generator Core: Summons a monster
  • Confusion Generator Core: Confuses a person, making him or her run in a random direction
  • Torpidity Generator Core: Slows down a person
After you've killed all the Generators, the floating balls will disappear and you can pick up whatever they dropped. The next boss only appears when the 3 Generators are dead.

These are the possible items you can get from the bosses:

1: Spiritmaster Atmach
This is the first boss in Dark Poeta and one of the easiest one kill it. The scariest skill Spiritmaster Atmach does is a skill called "Reflect" and "Endless Power". Whenever this buff is on the boss, do not attack it. If you do, you will most probably die. This buff can be removed by a Spiritmaster.

Another dangerous move is "Powerful Petrifaction". This will petrify a random team member which makes him useless for a few seconds. But this debuff can be removed by a Cleric. The additional monster Spiritmaster Atmach will spawn when it's low on health, you can just ignore. It will vanish once the boss is dead.

Dark Poeta - Telepathy Controller

It's been a while since I wrote anything about the game really, so here it goes. This time I'll be writing about the video I posted on YouTube, because sometimes text is better than video.

The Telepathy Controller is the boss after the Bug bosses. It's not really hard to kill, but there are a few things you have to keep in mind when killing this boss of course.
  • The first thing to pay attention to is, stick together. The boss Telepathy Controller does a lot of AoE damage, so if your group isn't standing together, the cleric won't be able to heal everyone. So, stick togetger!
  • Next point. At 75% the Telepathy Controller will spawn an Elite monster. If you can control  your AoE skill, there is no need to fight this monster because it will not attack anyone. However, if you've attacked it, make sure you focus all your dps on it and kill it as quick as possible.
  • Besides that 1 elite add, there will be 2 other worm type monster that will spawn. It's no use paying attention to them because they will explode anyway. Just make sure you cleric pays attention when they blow up.
  • Once you've killed the Telepathy Controller it will do a skill which pulls everyone together and deals a nice amount of damage while doing this. If you don't get out of range, it will do the skill twice, so be aware!
And that's all there is to it. If you pay attention to the 4 points I just mentioned, you should be fine. Here is a list of items the Telepathy Controller can drop:

NCsoft Time Cards - A Bit Silly

Aion: Assault On BalaureaI was browsing through amazon.com because I was curious about the new expansion that's coming out. There is no need for me to buy it, because I already have the game, but my curiosity got the better of me, so I went to check anyway. [If you want to buy it, click here to head over to amazon.com to check it out] If you order on Amazon.com you'll receive a Beluslan Kitter companion pet exclusive along with Speckled Ailu pack pet, which increases a player’s warehouse 12 spaces.

Anyway, that was not what caught my eye. It were the time cards that did.The reason it caught my eye were the prices of the time cards. The NCsoft 60-Day Game Time Card which costs $20,99 and which gives you the right to play Aion for 60 days, it only slightly more expensive than the NCsoft 30-Day Game Time Card [$14,99] which obviously only gives you 30 days of play time.

So I was asking myself. Why the hell would you [or I] pay $15 for 30 days of play time when you can get 60 days for $21? I thought I'd let you know about this in case you were planning on buying NC Time Cards

What Went On With The Aion Forums

If you ever posted on the Aion Forum and your message never made it past the moderation stage, I apologize. The reason for it is very simple.

Spam!

The forum attracted so many spammers / bots which just spammed the crap out of the forum. Because there was so much spam, I had to put moderation on. But this didn't help too much either. There was just so much spam that I just couldn't handle it alone. This is the main reason that drove me away from the forum.

The reason it got so much spam is also simple. The sign-up process was easy. All you had to do was come up with a simple name and password, use a disposable mail and you were good to go. But no more.

I changed the sign-up process. This time you will have to fill in a captcha, which automated bots can't do. Having said that, I will keep the moderation on for a few more days, so I can delete all the bots/spammers from the user list. Once I have done that, the moderation will go off and you can freely post again. And if there are still spammers about, I'd appreciate it if people would report them.

Once again my apologies to anyone who posted but got their messages deleted. This will not happen again.
